The truffle is usually still sold "dirty" with earth, but this is a good thing, as the earth creates a sort of protective layer which helps to preserve the organoleptic characteristics of the truffle.
But then, how to clean the truffle in the best way?
The truffle in general can be cleaned from the earth with the help of a brush and a trickle of running water, then brushing it delicately. Once free from earth residues it is ready to be enjoyed!
This procedure applies to any variety of truffle, but of course with the Precious White, which is a very delicate truffle, it is necessary to act very delicately, but without exaggerating with the water. So once the truffle has been cleaned from the earth, it must be dried immediately from the water.
